Our company

In the beginning of the 19th century our family was engaged in making flutes and violins; in 1904 the construction of guitars and lutes was added, under the hands of master craftsmen Frank-Peter Dietrich and son Markus in the 4th generation. Welcome to our workshop.

Reknowned soloists such as Jakob Lindberg, Prof. Monika Rost, Prof. Christiane Spannhof, Prof. Jorge Oraison, Prof. Hans-Michael Koch, Gertrud und Michael Tröster, Prof. Marga Wilden-Hüsgen, Marlo Strauß, Hans-Werner Apel , The Baltimore Consort (USA), Consort Micrologus (Italien) are personal references for the fine reputation and high quality of our instruments, as well as the Gold Medal received an the Leipzig Fair in 1986 and the Bavarian State Prize won in 1991.

An exact distinction between individual notes, easy playability, quick response, and a pure full sound distinguish every single one of our instruments. Naturally seasoned and carefully selected woods are used.

For lovers of early music, we also make copies and construct imitations of historical plucked instruments, from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance and Baroque periods up to the Classical era, using original models from domestic and foreign museums.
